"One of the things I liked best about this GT was that the body was not a stressed skin. It could have been lighter had we built it that way, but having all the body panels instantly removable sure made it easy to work on. Perfect for a privateer team. Maybe later, if the aero ideas proved out we could have built a lighter, stronger version but I think this car could have held its own against the best in its class in those days. When it ran as a private entry in the US it won a couple of Divisional SCCA Championships."
