Constructing a car the Italian Way; the P70

"Body construction in Italy was unlike anything I'd ever done before", says Brock. "Instead of working with conventional wooden sections, lofted up off my 1:1 body drawings, the Italians simply went down to the closest local construction site and bought a roll of spaghetti-like steel rebar. When we got back to the shop they overlaid the rebar on the full size sections I'd brought along and used an old Buzz box to arc weld the whole structure together. If a line looked wrong we simply clipped it and rewelded it where it looked right! Once that was done they started pounding out the alloy sheets on a tree stump to fit. It was beautiful!"
