"Look closely and you can see the classification letters have changed from DP to CP on Morton's 2000 Roadster for the 1970 racing season. Since the 240Z was late in arriving from the factory for its first season of SCCA competition, BRE upgraded their '69 D Production racer to run in C Production with a set of Mikuni carburetors. In this rare photo we see Morton at the second race of the season at Riverside's Turn 6 running in CP so he could gather points for the divisional title. This would qualify him for the ARRC later in the year when the 240Z was finally ready. Morton went on to win the C Production title for two years straight."
