In 1970, Nissan introduced the Datsun 240Z to the world. On the west coast of the U.S., BRE received their two allotted cars and began to turn them into SCCA C Production racers. On the east coast, Bob Sharp Racing received their cars and did the same.

At the national run-offs (ARRC) the unimaginable happened. The 240Zs swept the podium. John Morton in his #46 BRE 240Z won the National Championship. Bob Sharp took the second step of the podium and John McComb in the BRE #3 240Z took third.

It was a year to remember and you can, with this photo of the all-Datsun podium celebration.
