Two USAC officials sit in the portable timing shack set up on the Bonneville salt flats to monitor speed attempts by Goodyear and Firestone in the fall of 1965. Note the two official clocks used to time the Daytona's consecutive laps, some for as long as 12 hours! The Daytona Coupe covered over 1900 miles on that run and set a total of 23 FIA world records!
