In the ‘70s, BRE had logo’d car covers created to protect the BRE Datsun race cars in paddock areas. You asked us to recreate them. Now they’re here… and you knew we’d have to make them better! The car covers that in the ‘70s were made only for fair weather use have now been upgraded to today’s state-of-the art fabrics for indoor and outdoor all-weather protection. The 3-layer cover fabric used for these covers has a soft touch, and at half the weight of similar covers, it’s easy to work with. Three Layer Protection:The top layer protects again rain, snow, tree sap and bird droppings. The middle layer filters out dust and other airborne pollutants that eat paint (e.g. acid rain). The bottom layer is fully breathable, allowing air circulation that dries a wet cover quickly and prevents under-cover heat buildup. The cover is mildew resistant as well as protects your pride and joy against dings. Custom: These covers are custom made (Datzilla itself was the model). They will retain their tailored shape over time and won’t shrink or stretch. They are held tight to your car with integrated bottom-edge elastic and there are fabric covered grommets you can use to cable lock your cover without scratching your car. Color/Graphics: The original BRE covers were gray. That’s fully what we intended for these new covers until we viewed fabric samples and saw the rich taupe color that was available. Its understated beauty is “BRE” all the way so we chose the taupe with crisp black graphics. And speaking of graphics, with two Trans-AM Championships to BRE's credit, we've replaced the standard BRE logo that was originally on the covers with that great BRE 1971-1972 Trans-AM Championship wreath. This is a stunning cover! Care: Cover can be washed. Due to its size a commercial sized washer is recommended and it can be air dried.
